Our Pediatric Orthodontic Services

Early Orthodontic Evaluations (Age 7+)

Early orthodontic assessments allow us to monitor jaw growth, tooth eruption patterns, and bite development while a child is still growing. This proactive approach helps identify crowding, crossbites, and harmful oral habits before they become more complex problems. It is ideal for children around age seven, as early guidance can reduce the need for extractions, shorten future treatment time, and support proper facial development.

Interceptive (Phase 1) Orthodontic Treatment

Phase 1 treatment uses growth-modifying appliances to create space for incoming permanent teeth and correct developing bite issues. By addressing problems at the right stage of skeletal growth, we can often prevent severe misalignment and improve overall oral function. This treatment is best for younger children with crowding, narrow dental arches, crossbites, or protruding front teeth that may be at risk for trauma.

Kids’ Braces (Metal & Clear Options)

Modern braces use gentle, controlled forces to edge teeth into proper alignment for a healthy and balanced bite. Today’s smaller, more comfortable brackets make treatment easier for children while delivering highly precise and predictable results. Braces are ideal for kids and teens with moderate to complex alignment issues, including crowding, spacing, overbites, underbites, and rotated teeth.

Braces Options for Kids and Teens

Braces Options for Kids and Teens

Choosing the right braces for your child or teen is an important step toward achieving a healthy, confident smile. We offer several modern orthodontic solutions designed to fit different needs, lifestyles, and aesthetic preferences. Each option is carefully selected based on your child’s dental development, the complexity of their case, and their comfort throughout treatment.

Traditional Metal Braces

It is one of the most effective and reliable ways to correct alignment and bite issues. Today’s metal braces are smaller, smoother, and more comfortable than ever, making them a great choice for kids and teens. They also allow for fun customization with colored bands, helping younger patients feel excited about their smile journey.

Self-Ligating Braces

It uses an advanced clip system instead of elastic ties to hold the wire in place. This technology reduces friction, allows for more efficient tooth movement, and often means fewer adjustment visits. Many patients find self-ligating braces more comfortable and easier to keep clean, making them a convenient option for busy families.

Two-Phase Orthodontic Treatment Explained

Phase 1

It typically begins between ages 6 and 10, while some baby teeth are still present. The goal of this stage is to address jaw growth, create space for incoming permanent teeth, correct harmful oral habits, and improve bite problems early. Early intervention can help prevent crowding, reduce the risk of impacted teeth, and support proper facial development.

Phase 2

It starts once most or all permanent teeth have erupted, usually in the pre-teen or early teen years. During this phase, braces or clear aligners are used to move each tooth into its ideal position for a balanced bite and a beautifully aligned smile. Because Phase 1 has already prepared the mouth, Phase 2 is often more efficient and focused on fine-tuning the final results.
